Bydureon is an exenatide extended-release injectable suspension used to lower blood sugar in adults with type 2 diabetes. AstraZeneca challenged us to redesign the Bydureon Pen patient website. Our goal was to capitalize on Astrazeneca’s partnership with Dr. Phil and redesign the website by evolving their existing “ON IT Movement,” an awareness campaign that seeks to empower adults living with type 2 diabetes.
GET ON IT, START ON IT, STAY ON IT!
The re-designed homepage allowed users to navigate three primary sections of the website easily. Each section corresponded with calls to action related to specific milestones within a patient’s journey. “Get on it,” “Start on it,” and “Stay on it.”

The “Get on it” section of the redesigned website featured a video of Dr. Phil’s story that shares his own experience of living with type 2 diabetes and insights into the challenges he faced as a patient himself.
